Stay Crafted occupies a Georgian, Grade II listed building and has been comprehensively renovated to support a new hospitality and members’ club use.

18FIFTY was invited to work alongside the interior designer, House of Dré  and use a carefully curated approach that respected the buildings original architectural features.

The listed status imposed strict constraints, including the retention of original elements such as the lath and plaster ceilings and limited opportunities to introduce new wiring. Lighting was therefore carefully integrated within the existing fabric, using discreet interventions to minimise impact on the historic structure. Light is used to enhance materiality and create a distinct atmosphere for both hotel guests and members, balancing a contemporary approach with the practical realities of a protected historic building.

 

The result is a refined balance between past and present, where light and craftsmanship work together to create a warm, timeless environment.
